Nandalal Bose
Block design, Postcard to Ramesh Charan Basu Majumdar from Santiniketan
Collection: JBMRC
On a card bearing the Santiniketan imprint, Nandalal Bose appears to have experimented with printing a number of variations of his monogram. A common practice among artists of the Bengal School, the idea of using a seal bearing an artist’s stylized initials, may have been influenced by their interactions with Japanese artists.
