Abanindranath Tagore

Postcard to Nandalal Bose, Puri

21 January 1917

Collection: DAG Museums

With astonishing minimalism, Abanindranath captures the twilight hour reflected in the a ripples of a river. He painted and wrote this postcard from ‘Alor Ghat’ [Ghat of Light] to his student and colleague, Nandalal Bose, who was at the time in Puri.
